Dr. István Horváth was born 27 April 1965 in Budapest. He is a graduate of ELTE Állam- és Jogtudományi Kar Budapest (1989) with summa cum laude distinction. He has been practising law since 1989 and obtained post qualification degrees in insurance and real estate law.
His main practice focus lies in strategic litigation, corporate law, criminal law, compensation, insurance and other civil law matters.
Dr. István Horváth has been serving as a member of the disciplinary committee of the Budapest Bar Association since 1999: He received several professional recognitions, including Roma Polgárjogi Díj (2000), Justitia Regnorum Fundamentum. He is currently an elected member of the governing council of the Budapest Bar Association responsible amongst other areas for the development of the E-quality attorney corporate governance standards.
Dr. István Horváth has considerable experiences in dealing with cross border legal issues and is fluent in English.
